Visual identity by Sander Studio

A visual identity that brings your expression together

Logo, typography, colours and graphic principles should reflect your company and work in everyday use. A complete identity can build on what exists or give the company a new visual starting point.

A visual identity has to be usable

The identity has to work on the website, in a sales meeting and in the material you send out. That's why I test the design on concrete examples along the way.

We agree which elements and templates you need. A brand guide collects the rules, so both colleagues and external suppliers can keep working with the same expression.

  • Logo and relevant logo variants
  • Colours, typography and graphic principles
  • Examples of use and a brand guide as agreed

From design proposal to files and brand guide

  1. Discovery and agreement

We review the company, the audience and the existing material. Then we agree deliverables, price and timeline.

  2. Design proposal

I develop logo, colours and typography and show how they work on, for example, the website and in sales material.

  3. Refinement

We gather your feedback and adjust the identity. Three rounds of revisions are included in the project price; more rounds can be agreed.

  4. Handover

You receive source files and the agreed export formats. We go through how to use them and the brand guide included in your project.

Frequently asked questions

What does a visual identity consist of?

A visual identity can include logo, colours, typography, graphic principles, image style, icons, motion and concrete templates. The scope is tailored to the places where the brand will actually be used.

What's the difference between a logo and a visual identity?

A logo is one recognisable mark. The visual identity is the complete system that creates recognition across the website, presentations, campaigns and other touchpoints.

When should a company get a new visual identity?

It's relevant when the expression no longer matches the company's position, audience or level of ambition. Sometimes a focused update is enough; other times it takes a new brand design from scratch.

Can an existing identity be updated without starting over?

Yes. An identity refresh can keep familiar elements while sharpening logo, typography, colours and usage. First we assess what still has value and what holds the brand back.

Do we get a brand guide?

A brand guide can be included and describes how the identity is used consistently. It can be compact or more extensive depending on the team, channels and number of deliverables. Ongoing graphic design for pitches and campaigns is a separate task once the system is in place.

How much does a visual identity cost?

The price depends on the strategic starting point, the number of elements and how many applications need designing. The price calculator gives a preliminary range from a logo refresh to a complete brand identity.
